So Lucky Gifts College Care Package

My new sponsor, So Lucky Gifts, sent one of their college care packages to our college girl and she sent me photos from her iPhone.

As you can see the package arrives in a gift box with a ribbon and their logo sticker. She was impressed by the pretty packaging.

It is carefully boxed and protected and made to be a special surprise package.

Inside is a gift card.

The box is full of carefully chosen, gluten-free goodies that are all taste-tested and are products our family likes and uses. The Glutino Chocolate Vanilla Creme cookies and Enviro Kids Crispy Rice Bars are favorites along with the Michael Season’s Cheese Puffs. Thai Kitchen noodles are a fancier, gluten-free version of Ramen and so much better without all the preservatives and sodium. Single servings of Nutella and Honey Stinger Energy Chews keep their energy up during midterms and finals.

I was surprised when our daughter was accepted at her college and assigned to a dorm that I quickly got a barrage of emails and mailed solicitations from the college to order college care packages for our student. The sales pitch was that the students loved to get these surprise packages and felt left out if they didn’t get them. Sadly, they were full of gluten(among other things). So Lucky has a solution for family members who are unfamiliar with the gluten-free diet, but want to show their favorite grandchild, niece or nephew or faraway friends some gluten-free love. There’s no chance of sending some of the not so yummy gluten-free products out there or gluten containing snacks by mistake. They are beautifully packaged and really do make the kids feel like you are thinking of them. The products in this box can be found spread out among about three, maybe four separate stores within about an hours drive of my house, so this is a perfect solution to get some special treats without driving all over town and trying to decide which gluten-free snacks are the best. See their website for their other Gluten-Free College Care packages and other gluten-free gifts. Look for more college packages and holiday themed gifts soon.

  1. I can only imagine what a treat it was for Shelby to receive that package! The presentation is wonderful. While some companies wouldn’t think to do that when sending “snacks,” it really makes the recipient feel special. Such a great way to take care of gf loved ones! :-)

    • It was kind of funny, Shirley. She knew it was coming and she knew what was in it and had tried everything but the honey chews, but she still got excited because it was such a pretty package and done so beautifully. I can just imagine what a college student who got this as a surprise would think. I’m really learning that even though our kids may be taller than us and off to college and being very independent, those things like surprise packages and doing childhood holiday traditions still bring out the little kid in them.

  2. I’m so glad you posted the picture on Facebook. I checked out their website before you posted this and saved it. I ordered something for a friend of mine in Med School. Can’t wait for her to get it!
