Gluten Free Thanksgiving Menu Plan

I’m making my grocery list and checking it twice this morning as I plan for the big turkey day and having everyone home for a week. I’m including the Thanksgiving menu with links to recipes for those of you looking for last minute help. The menu for the rest of the week reflects the leftovers for the big dinner and a few favorites before one of the kids heads back to dorm life.

Thanksgiving Dinner has old family favorites done gluten-free with recipes from some of my favorite gluten-free cooks.

The rest of the week looks like this:

  • Sunday Tofu Peanut Noodles
  • Steak and baked potatoes, broccoli
  • Shelby’s Spicy Chicken-her take on PF Chang’s recipe
  • Roasted Cauliflower and Mushroom Soup, Salad, Socca flatbread
  • Thanksgiving
  • Leftovers
  • Curried Turkey Soup

Look for Shirley’s holiday series coming soon and stop by Alta’s for edible gift ideas. Book of Yum has vegetarian Thanksgiving recipes and menus. Amy has her Healthier Gluten-Free Holiday Series. Finally, there’s still time to enter for the giveaway of Simply Gluten Free Desserts and a bag of Carol’s flour blend.

Have a beautiful Thanksgiving week filled with family, great food and moments of gratitude.

I’ll be linking up to Laura’s Menu Plan Monday where hundreds of intrepid menu planners share each week. Laura always has plenty of organizing and planning tips at Organizing Junkie.

I’m also linking up to the Gluten-Free Menu Swap hosted by Heather this week at Celiac Family.

  1. I always love seeing Indian corn! I don’t dare buy it though because as soon as I hang it up for a seasonal decoration, the squirrels attack it until it’s gone. Seriously. You’d think it would be too hard for them, but no.

Thanks so much for including my pumpkin pie, Wendy! I love that original one and the later dairy-free version I made. :-) Sounds like you will have a fantastic Thanksgiving meal. We are so lucky to have the recipes of all our gluten-free blogging buddies to call upon. I’m thinking that leftover turkey will a great filling for your crepes recipe that I love so much. Every time I make those, Mr. GFE about does back flips! And I don’t blame him … they’re so easy and so good!

Many thanks for announcing our upcoming Home for the Holidays … Gluten-Free Style event! I’m so excited about this one. ;-)

Finally, happy, happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Hugs,
    Shirley

    • Actually, Shirley, I was heading over to GFE to search for your dairy-free version. We decided to give up the garlic cream Brussels sprouts this year and do a dairy-free pumpkin pie too. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours too!

  3. How nice that everyone will be home! I’m sure they can’t wait for the big meal. They’re probably looking forward to the rest of the week, too! Hope you all enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving.

  4. Wendy-
I am always delighted by your pictures! I haven’t seen Indian corn in years (not sure why) but it reminds me of when I was little.
Hope you have a great holiday!
